About Golf Course Lawns in Fort Mill, SC
Golf Course Lawns brings PGA-level turf expertise to homeowners across York County and the greater Charlotte area. Your lawn deserves the same care once reserved for championship greens.

Built on Golf Course Turf Experience, Serving Homeowners Since 2020
Golf Course Lawns started in 2020, but the knowledge behind it goes back more than two decades. We're a locally owned company built on one simple idea: every lawn deserves championship-level care. Owner Michael Boucher spent years managing turf on courses built for PGA-level play before deciding to bring that same expertise home to Fort Mill and the surrounding communities.
We specialize in warm season lawn care because that's what grows here. Bermuda and Zoysia lawns have specific needs throughout the year, and generic, one-size-fits-all programs rarely deliver the results homeowners want. We built our company around getting it right for these grass types specifically.
Every lawn treatment services plan we offer, from fertilization to irrigation to landscape lighting, comes from real hands-on experience managing turf at the highest level. We're not guessing. We're applying what worked on championship greens to the yards our neighbors live in every day.

Michael Boucher: Clemson-Trained Turf Expert
Michael Boucher is a Clemson University graduate with a degree in Turfgrass Management, and his career began on golf courses that hosted PGA tournaments. There, he focused on the chemical applications that kept championship greens healthy and playable under constant pressure.
Before founding Golf Course Lawns, Michael worked as a landscape operations manager, where he rebuilt a struggling Bermuda grass program into a thriving one. That project reinforced what he already knew from the golf industry: healthy turf comes from understanding the grass, not just spraying a product and hoping for the best.
With over 24 years of turfgrass experience and more than 20 years in the golf industry, including six years as a Golf Course Superintendent, Michael treats every residential lawn care client's yard with the same standard he once applied to tournament-ready greens.

Honest Lawn Treatment Services, Tailored to Your Yard
Our mission is straightforward: give every homeowner a lawn they're proud of, using honest communication and a plan built around their specific yard. We don't sell packages. We diagnose your lawn's needs and recommend what it actually requires.
Here's what that looks like in practice:
- We evaluate your grass type and soil conditions before recommending fertilization and weed control or any other treatment
- We explain what we're applying and why, whether it's a pre emergent weed control application or a lawn fungicide treatment
- We adjust programs through the season as Bermuda grass lawn care and Zoysia grass lawn care needs change with the weather
- We communicate clearly about scheduling, products used, and what to expect from your lawn between visits
- We stand behind our work and welcome questions about any service, from core aeration to irrigation maintenance
- We treat every yard like it's our own, because that's the standard we hold ourselves to
What Sets Golf Course Lawns Apart From National Chains
National lawn care companies often rely on call centers, rotating technicians, and standardized routes. Golf Course Lawns operates differently, built around real turf science and a relationship with the homeowners we serve throughout Fort Mill, Rock Hill, Charlotte, and the surrounding area.
Our approach covers the full picture of a healthy outdoor space, not just a single service. Here's what that means for your property.
-
Warm Season Grass Specialists
We focus on Bermuda and Zoysia lawns because that's what thrives in our region. From Bermuda grass aeration to Zoysia grass aeration, our programs are built around the growth cycles and stress points specific to these grass types, not a generic cool season template.
-
Golf Course Level Technical Knowledge
Michael's background managing PGA-level greens means our lawn weed control, lawn growth regulator, and lawn wetting agent applications are grounded in real agronomy. We also offer services like turf painting and dormant lawn painting for homeowners who want color year round, something you won't find at most residential lawn care companies.
-
A Full Outdoor Living Approach
Beyond turf, we handle fire ant treatment, residential mosquito control, landscape insect control, irrigation system startup and winterization, irrigation audit services, and landscape lighting design and installation. We also run an ongoing plant care program with shrub fertilization and ornamental plant care, so your whole yard gets the same attention as your lawn.
